SCENE: Angie's apartment, night.

Lauren and Anthony are standing in the kitchen. Angie walks in the front door and makes her way toward them.

Anthony: "Where have you been?"

Angie: "What are you, my mother?"

Anthony: "No, but she's pretty worried, too."

Angie: "Well, she shouldn't be."

Anthony: "We didn't know where you were, Ange."

Angie shifts uncomfortably.

Angie: "I was at Colin's."

Anthony: "You were at Colin's. What?"

Lauren: "I find that hard to believe, but okay."

Angie: "You don't have to believe me, but that is where I was. We're leaving tomorrow."

This is not what Anthony or Lauren were expecting to hear. After a moment of quiet spluttering, Lauren speaks:

Lauren: "What do you mean you're leaving? Where the hell would you go with Colin?"

Angie: "Lauren. We're not eloping or anything. We're just going to go to Lindsay. To see Tim."

Anthony frowns.

Anthony: "He's in Lindsay?"

Angie: "Yeah."

Lauren: "He went to Lindsay and he didn't tell any of us?"

Angie: "Pretty much."

Lauren crosses her arms, clearly exasperated.

Lauren: "Are we even his friends anymore?"

Angie: "I guess we'll find out."

Anthony: "I'm not sure I want to be friends with someone who runs out on me like that."

Angie: "It's not like you were married to him."

Anthony: "No, but he did pay half the rent. What am I supposed to do if he doesn't come back?"

Angie: "Why are you asking me this? I know as much as you do."

They stand in annoyed silence for a moment, not meeting each others eyes.

Angie: "Anyway. I'm going to pack."

Angie goes into her room; Lauren and Anthony share a look before Lauren follows Angie, shutting the door behind her.

Lauren: "Angie?"

Angie turns from the suitcase on her bed to face Lauren.

Lauren: "Don't you think this is a bit quick?"

Angie: "Not really."

Lauren: "You've had a pretty bad week."

Angie: "I know. I was there."

Lauren: "So, don't you think you should - I don't know. Rest for a bit, or something."

Angie: "No use sitting around here moping."

Lauren: "Angie, Junko died."

Angie: "Yeah, I saw, thanks."

Lauren: "So it's okay to sit around moping for a while."

Angie: "Okay, but I don't want to, so I'm not."

Angie goes back to packing. Lauren watches apprehensively.

Lauren: "How long will you be gone?"

Angie: "Not sure."

Lauren: "That's not really helpful."

Angie: "Sorry."

Lauren: "I don't want you to go."

Angie turns around again. When she speaks, her voice is much less harsh.

Angie: "I know. But I want to go. And I'll call you every day, and I'll come back."

Lauren stares at the ground.

Angie: "I am coming back."

Lauren: "Okay."

Angie: "Okay. Chuck us those shoes."
