Electorate 029 Transcript

SCENE: Lauren's house, night. Tim and Angie get out of his car and walk to the front door.

Tim knocks.

Tim: "The lights are off."

Angie: "She's recently taken to sitting in the dark, so that tells us nothing."

Tim: "I don't think she's going to answer."

Angie: "No problem. I have her spare key."

They go inside.

Angie: "Lauren? It's just us."

Tim: "Maybe she's asleep."

Angie: "I'll go check. Hang on."

Tim waits downstairs, Angie goes upstairs and knocks on Lauren's bedroom door, then walks in.

SCENE: Lauren's bedroom, night. Lights are off, Lauren is sitting on the ground beside her bed with bloody arms. Angie walks in.

Angie: "Oh, Lauren."

Angie kneels beside Lauren.

Lauren: "It looks worse than it is."

Angie: "It's okay."

Lauren: "Sorry."

Angie: "It's fine. Let's get you cleaned up, okay?"

Angie leads Lauren to the bathroom. Lauren sits. Angie draws a bath.

Lauren: "This is embarrassing."

Angie: "Nothing I haven't seen before, lady. Don't worry about it."

Angie: "Feel better?"

Lauren: "Not really."

The bath is finished; Angie straightens up.

Angie: "Listen, Tim's downstairs. Do you want me to get rid of him? We can just stay here and watch television or something."

Lauren: "No, it's okay."

Angie: "Are you sure?"

Lauren: "Yeah."

Angie: "Okay. I'm going to go stall for a bit of time, but I'll be back in five minutes. I'm going to knock on the door, and if you don't answer right away then I'm barging right in here and you'll have something to be really embarrassed about."

Lauren smiles.

Lauren: "Yes, sir."

Angie: "Good girl."

Angie goes back downstairs.

Angie: "You were right. She was asleep. She'll be a while longer."

Tim: "No problem."

Angie sits in a chair.

Tim: "You okay?"

Angie smiles.

Angie: "Of course."

Angie gets up and goes back up the stairs, then knocks on the bathroom door.

Lauren: "I'm not dead."

Angie: "Okay. You want me to grab you some clothes?"

Lauren: "Yes, please."

viewpoint shift to Tim, who is downstairs. He is looking at the bookshelf, then sits in the chair near the book shelf.

Angie and Lauren come down the stairs; Lauren is wearing a dark long-sleeve top that covers hands, and jeans.

Tim: "Hey, sleepyhead."

Lauren: "Hey."

Tim: "Ready?"

Lauren: "Yeah."

They walk out and to the car.

Because I have a vivid imagination when say one says or writes something I get a visual!(For better or for worse! LOL!)

This piece was very raw and real! I enjoyed it with just text!

I didn't actually count but I knew I'd said it a lot, yes. Mostly because I was feeling silly but also because I wanted to make it very clear that there is a text-only transcript (http://crushthecamera.livejournal.com/14428.html).
